       On December 16, 2018, the "MQK Nano Insulated Thermal Insulation Oil Tube" and "Thermal Conductivity Testing Device for Insulated Thermal Insulation Oil Tube" technology appraisal and metallurgical composite oil well tube technology exchange meeting organized by the China Petroleum Engineering Construction Association were held in Fengxian, Shanghai. Gu Bi, Deputy District Mayor of Fengxian District, Le Huandi, Secretary of the District Science and Technology Commission, Tang Zhiping, Vice Chairman of the District Science and Technology Association, Qu Lei, Mayor of Qingcun Town, Yang Binbin, Deputy Mayor, and Zhao Hua, Chief of the Economic Development Department, fully participated in the technical exchange meeting


           

      Tianyang Meiqiao Oilfield Energy Technology Development and Manufacturing Center, as the applicant for the New Achievement Technology Appraisal Committee, invited Academician Li Helin from Xi'an Pipeline Research Institute of China National Petroleum Corporation, Chinese Academy of Engineering, Academician Zeng Hengyi from China National Offshore Oil Corporation, and 15 experts from the Chinese petroleum industry to participate in the evaluation of these two technological achievements。

    

  

  


       At the appraisal meeting, Professor Mi Feng, Chief Technology Officer of Shanghai Tianyang Steel Pipe Co., Ltd. and Chairman of Shanghai Meiqiao Science and Technology Co., Ltd., introduced the innovative points and important economic and social value of the "MQK Nano Insulated Insulation Oil Pipe" and "Insulated Insulation Oil Pipe Thermal Conductivity Testing Device" to the attending academicians and experts through detailed technical information and on-site demonstrations in the south factory area and testing workshop of Shanghai Tianyang Steel Pipe.
The academicians and experts of the appraisal committee listened to the report of the project team, reviewed all the materials submitted by the project team, and after questioning, defense, and discussion, unanimously agreed that:
The overall technology of MQK nano insulated oil pipe has reached the international leading level;
The overall technology of the "adiabatic insulation oil pipe thermal conductivity testing device" has reached the international advanced level;
Agree to pass the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements, and suggest further promotion and application.
At the same time, academicians and experts of the appraisal committee believe that the research on thermal insulation tubing is an important scientific research project in the field of oil and gas development, and is a major key technology that urgently needs to be solved in oil and gas field production processes for many years. This innovative technology fully utilizes the thermal energy of oil and gas reservoirs, reduces wellbore thermal energy loss, maintains the temperature of well fluids, and has significant environmental and energy-saving functions. It also dissolves wax and reduces viscosity, improves the flow performance of downhole oil and gas, and thus increases oil and gas recovery rate. The promotion and application of its achievements will undoubtedly simplify oil and gas lifting and gathering processes, and promote revolutionary changes in oil and gas collection. It has great prospects for application in heavy oil fields, heavy oil pumping oil recovery, heavy oil SAGD oil recovery, thin oil fields, gas fields, and marine oil fields.
The successful development of the thermal conductivity testing device for insulated oil pipes has important reference value for the development, design, and application development of various types of insulated pipes in China. This provides a good experimental platform for developing insulation pipes of different categories, which means that various insulation pipe fittings with excellent high thermal resistance performance will be developed quickly, efficiently, and cost effectively for energy conservation and consumption reduction in the petroleum industry, chemical industry, and civil use. The successful development of testing equipment has changed the testing method of insulation products in the petroleum industry, providing conditions for establishing testing specifications and standard systems for insulation oil pipes. Simplify and make the development and use of insulated oil pipes more scientific. At the same time, the new technology will provide first-hand experimental data for engineering design institutes, pipeline research centers, and pipeline evaluation institutions in the petroleum and petrochemical industries, promoting the research and promotion of insulation pipes in China.
These two international level technological innovations will fundamentally improve the high energy consumption phenomenon of steam heat loss in China's traditional oil production methods, and ensure the strategic security of China's self-sufficient oil supply.
